Birdwatching trip to celebrate the C. Marim and V. R. S. António Nature Reserve (14.04.2024)
On 14 April, we'll be leading a birdwatching walk in the Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António Marshland Nature Reserve.
This is one of several Open Day activities celebrating the anniversary of this Nature Reserve and inviting the public to discover the beauty and richness of this place.
As in previous editions, Proactivetur is joining this initiative on a voluntary basis, with the aim of helping to promote the natural values of this important site and raising public awareness of the need for its conservation.
The outing will take place near the headquarters of the Nature Reserve, through areas of salt marsh and salt pans, which at this time of year are home to very particular birds, including numerous migrating waders, spoonbills, flamingos, ducks and even some birds of prey.
