Rocha da Pena

With its 470m of altitude, "Rocha da Pena" is a landmark in the region. Formed by a steep cliff of limestone, with an average height of 50m, and a plateau of 2km in length, this place was once occupied permanently by humans who left there vestiges of its presence. Today it is a classified area, where the human presence is irregular and punctual, especially marked by the few farmers who go there to deal with their nuts, especially carob production, by hikers and climbers.
