Santiago Trails - the Algarve’s Central Path

Most of the popular Santiago trails are in the north. But in Algarve there are also historical evidences of its cult and pilgrims movements. There are 3 paths in this region and the Central one is probably the most interesting. Its starts in Faro city, in its historical centre, passes in Loulé and from here cross all the hilly region of Serra do Caldeirão, through cork woods, tinny rural villages, small streams, traditional farms, totally away from the urban areas.
